The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in association with Karnataka government and co-sponsors Udaya TV and Sun Feast ITC Foods is gearing up for the three days mega event 'Amrutha Mahotsava' from March 1 to 3 at Bangalore Palace.

15 days holiday is declared for the Kannada cinema industry from February 17 of this month for the preparation of three days event – March 1, 2nd and 3rd at Bangalore Palace.

Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar heads the finance committee, V.Ravichandran for cultural committee, seminar committee lead by Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, film screening committee in 29 districts and 182 taluks lead by T.S.Nagabharana and Dr.Baraguru Ramachandrappa heading the Platinum jubilee book series etc.

March 1 2009 the mega event kick start at 6 pm and first day is cultural carnival the second day big event will be release of 75 books on prominent Kannada film personalities of all walks of field. It is followed by honor of 108 personalities from various walks of field.

On the third day Karnataka origin artists and technicians who have made it big in other industries will be invited and honored says Dr.Jayamala at the first media address of 'Amrutha Mahotsava'
